01

Freedom is more than comfort.

A free life is not a life without limits. The Christian willingly lives under God’s authority. We resist the idea that government, culture, employers, or crowds should occupy the place that belongs to God.

We value the old freedoms because they make room for the next faithful act: gathering for worship, speaking plainly, teaching our children, building honest work, and sharing the Gospel.

Liberty without character collapses. Character without liberty is easily silenced.
02

Conscience is not cowardice.

There will be pressure to repeat what we do not believe, celebrate what we cannot affirm, or hide what makes others uncomfortable. Faithfulness does not require picking every fight. It does require knowing which ground cannot be surrendered.

We can refuse without hatred. We can disagree without demeaning. We can speak without performing anger for an audience.

03

Use freedom well.

Rights are strongest when exercised with discipline. Free speech is not an excuse to be obnoxious. Religious liberty is not a shield for hypocrisy. Independence does not release us from duty to neighbor, community, or country.

The standard is not merely to possess freedom. It is to use it in service to what is true and good.
